making AN INTRODUCTION
This was my second biker meet.
I’d started fresh on social media and hadn’t shared much of my previous photography work, so to most people, I’d come out of nowhere.
This was a smaller gathering. Friendly, but more low-key. Most weren’t up for portraits — and asking someone to pose in front of their mates can feel like interrupting the meet.

Visually, the first meet was a success — black and white worked.
But sticking with it for this project felt like a waste. Every bike was different, and colour was part of that personality.
Sometimes it’s just about turning up and getting to know people — the photographs will follow.
When everyone fires up their engines and starts to ride out — the noise, the chaos
— yeah, that’s my favourite bit.
